An Owensville man is behind bars after an overnight standoff.

Gibson County Sheriff Deputies, Indiana State Police, and the U.S. Marshals Task Force responded to 30-year-old Aaron Riggs’s residence with an arrest warrant.

Riggs had an active warrant out of Daviess County for Level 4 Felony Child Molesting.

Riggs already barricaded himself in the secondary story of his residence by the time officers arrived.

Officers tried getting Riggs to surrender several times but he refused.

ISP SWAT eventually found Riggs hiding in a crawl space inside the attic.

Riggs was taken into custody without further incident and booked into the Gibson County Jail with a $500,000 bond.
