The Indiana State Police at Jasper are Assisting the Perry County Fire Marshall with fire in Tell City that took the home of a Perry County Police Officer.

Yesterday, at approximately 2:30 am, the Indiana State Police responded to a structure fire within the city limits of Tell City.  Tell City Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.  The Indiana State Fire Marshall’s Office was contacted to conduct an investigation into the cause and origin of the blaze. The Indiana State Police will be assisting the Fire Marshall with the investigation.

The home belonged to a Perry County Police Officer. The fire took his home, along with his two dogs. No information about how the fire started has been released at this time. If anyone has any information regarding the fire, they are asked to contact the Indiana State Police Jasper Post at 812-482-1441.
