An early morning accident involved four cars today.

This morning, at around 5:40 am, 19-year-old Candace Oser of Ferdinand was traveling north on US 231 in their 2012 Chevy Equinox when they slowed for traffic which was backed up. 52-year-old Chris Ferguson of Huntingburg was following Oser in their 1994 Chevy GMT and slowed for traffic. 23-year old Brandon Masterson of Grandview was following Ferguson in their 2006 Chrysler Newport and braked for slowed traffic. 24-year-old Destiny Goffinet of Dale was traveling in their 2012 Toyota Corolla behind Masterson and did not stop in time and rear-ended Masterson’s Newport. The impact pushed the Newport into Ferguson’s GMT and the GMT into Oser’s Equinox. Masterson’s Newport continued off the east side of roadway coming to final rest striking a guardrail.

Goffinet’s Corolla and Masterson’s Newport were totaled. There was no visible damage to the GMT or the or Equinox

There were no injuries.  The roadway was blocked off and on for about one hour while the scene was cleared.  

KARS Wrecker Service assisted at the scene.
