Two Vincennes residents are facing drug charges after a weekend traffic stop.

Indiana State Troopers pulled over 37-year-old Dustin Taylor for disregarding a stop sign and railroad crossing at College Avenue and North 10th Street at around 11 pm Saturday.

According to ISP, the passenger originally gave them a false name and was later identified as 36-year-old Stephanie Leifheit.

Police report finding over 10 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia while searching the vehicle.

Officers also learned that Leifheit had an outstanding warrant out of Illinois. ISP also says she had a handgun without a permit and schedule I, II, III, and IV controlled substances.

Further investigation revealed Taylor was driving while impaired. But he failed to submit to a chemical test.

Both Taylor and Leifheit are being held in the Knox County Jail on bond.

Taylor is charged with: Driving While Intoxicated-Refusal, and Possession of Methamphetamine, Paraphernalia, and Marijuana.

Leifheit is charged with: False Informing, Possession of a Handgun without a Permit, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and an Outstanding Illinois Warrant.
