The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a pipe replacement for State Road 450 near Shoals.

Beginning on or around Thursday, Dec. 26, INDOT maintenance crews will close S.R. 450 from the Junction of U.S. 50 to County Road 81 near the Trinity Springs area. The roadway will be completely closed during the operation to excavate and replace a drainage pipe on S.R. 450 and also install a box culvert in the same area.

During the closure, local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. All other traffic should use the detour using S.R. 158, S.R. 37 and U.S. 50. The project is expected to be completed by the first week of January, depending upon weather conditions.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
