The Jasper Chamber of Commerce and Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center teaming up to sponsor a public health screening next month.

These screenings take place on Tuesday, January 7th from 5:45 to 8:30am in the Health and Wellness Classroom at Memorial Southside Office at 1100 West 12th Avenue in jasper.

Screenings are $39 dollars each and open to those who live or work in the Jasper area.

Participants must be 18 years old or older and will have screenings for:

  • Height and weight
  • Body mass index
  • Waist circumference
  • Blood pressure
  • Cholesterol (including total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides)
  • Blood glucose
  • And a chemistry panel.

A 12-hour fast is required before the screening. However, water and prescription medications are allowed.

Screenings will last around 15 minutes and pre-registration is required.
