A Reserve Patrolman is recovering after getting struck by a vehicle on Friday.

According to the Cannelton Police Department Facebook page, Reserve Patrolman Daniel Bickford was struck after the Cannelton Christmas Parade on Friday night.

Police say Bickford was struck while crossing the State Road 66 and Old State Road 237 intersection to help with a hit and run investigation.

Bickford was transported by ambulance to Owensboro Regional Health and is in stable condition.

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police Accident Reconstructionist are investigating the incident.
