The Spencer County Catholic parishes of St. Boniface in Fulda and St. Meinrad in St. Meinrad each have received a $3,000 grant to assist local residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Rapid Response grants were distributed by the Spencer County Community Foundation.

Fr. Anthony Vinson, OSB, pastor of the two parishes, said the grants will be used to help local people who may be most vulnerable during the coronavirus outbreak.

The grant money will be used to create and deliver care packages to those at high risk, buying technology so that senior citizens gain access to medical care through telehealth, buying pharmacy gift cards so senior citizens can buy medicine and live streaming worship services.

If you know of someone who might benefit from assistance or would like to make a contribution to the programs, email info@myparishfamily.church.
