A man is behind bars after fleeing the scene of an accident.

Tuesday afternoon, an off-duty Indiana State Trooper saw a two-vehicle accident at Fifteenth and Mill Street in Jasper. One of the vehicles fled from the scene.

Officers were able to quickly find the one that got away, who was identified as 23-year-old Wileam Roblero of Jasper.

Officers were able to determine that Roblero was under the influence of alcohol. Roblero was taken to Memorial Hospital for a blood draw where blood alcohol content tested at .211.

Roblero was arrested was booked into the Dubois County Security Center on numerous OWI charges.
