A motorcyclist is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Crawford County.

The crash happened at the State Road 164 and Dillard intersection on Saturday afternoon.

Sheriff Deputies say two juveniles were traveling in a white Chevy Cavalier eastbound on State Road 164 and turned into the path of an approaching motorcycle.

The two people on the motorcycle were thrown off the bike into the roadway and the driver died at the scene.

The passenger suffered serious injuries and was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital.

The name of the person killed in the crash has not been released and the family is being notified.

One of the minors in the chevy also suffered injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
