Two people are behind bars after a pursuit in Orange County.

Police attempted to pull over Blake Eldridge of Clarksville and Megan Hypes of Fredericksburg for speeding on State Road 37 North near the Orange County Animal Clinic early Saturday morning.

Eldridge then fled from officers, reaching speed in excess of 100 miles per hour, and was discovered to be in a vehicle stolen out of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The pursuit continued into Crawford and Harrison counties before coming to an end at Mud Lane when the suspects got out of the vehicle and ran from police.

Eldridge and Hypes were quickly found and taken into custody.

A firearm was later recovered that had been tossed during the pursuit.

Eldridge was charged with resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, felon in possession of a handgun, possession of meth, marijuana, and a syringe, habitual traffic violator, and reckless driving.

Hypes was charged with resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, and possession of meth, marijuana, and a syringe.

Both suspects were transported to the Orange County Jail.
