A Louisville resident Elle Smith was crowned Miss USA during the pageant in Tulsa, Oklahoma Monday night.
Smith is a 2020 graduate of University of Kentucky where she studied broadcast journalism.
She currently works as a television news reporter in Louisville.
Smith will now represent the US in the Miss Universe pageant on December 12th in Israel.
