One author’s first-hand recollection of memories as a US Citizen and daughter of German immigrants in the 1940’s is coming to the Dubois County Museum.

Anneliese Krauter will share how her childhood innocence was blown apart with the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the experience of having a father accused of being a Nazi spy, her time in a Texas internment camp, returning to Germany as a citizen to witness WW2 end, her escape from Russian-occupied Germany, and conclude with the teller’s return to the United States.

The Jasper German Club and Dubois County Museum will sponsor this presentation to offer the public free admission to the Sunday, June 4th, 2023 event beginning at 1:30 p.m. EST.
