(Dubois County, IN) The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced plans to close U.S. 231, in Huntingburg, on or around Saturday, June 10th, 2023.

This closure of U.S. 231 between Oak Street and 4th Avenue will allow crews to perform a box structure installation underneath the roadway. Officials say that, weather permitting; work will take around 3 days.

The official detour for this project is I-64 to State Road 161 to State Road 64 with access maintained up to the point of closure for local traffic.
