According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 11:10 PM on Tuesday evening October 17th Central Dispatch received a call of a tractor that was found upside down in a ditch near the intersection of CR 1000N and CR 775 E in Odon.

After arriving on the scene, Deputies began investigating and identified the driver of the tractor as 18-year-old Kevin Knepp from Odon.

According to police, Mr. Knepp was driving northbound on CR 775 E when for an unknown reason veered off the roadway into a ditch, causing the tractor to flip upside down, landing on Mr. Knepp. 

Kevin Knepp was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Plainville Volunteer Fire Department, the Daviess County Ambulance Service, the Daviess County Coroner’s Office, Tri-County Wrecker Service, and Dave’s Wrecker Service.
