(TELL CITY, IN) — Early Sunday morning at approximately 1:41 am CST, officers from the Indiana State Police, Tell City Police, and Perry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for assistance at a residence on State Road 145 in Tell City in reference to a dispute with a possible weapon.

Upon arrival by law enforcement, a male subject, Andrew Long Jr., 32, of Huntingburg was fatally wounded from a gunshot wound in the driveway of the residence. No arrest or charges have been filed at this time and the Indiana State Police is still investigating the events that transpired.

This investigation is ongoing at this time and notifications have been made to the Long family. There is no current threat to public safety.

ISP detectives were assisted at the scene by the Tell City Police Department, Perry County Sheriff’s Office, Perry County EMS, and the Perry County Coroner.
