The Orange Co. Sheriff’s Department is advising the public of a current phone scam circulating the area.
If you or someone you know receives a phone call from someone identifying themselves as Sergeant William Hall with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department stating you have a warrant, it is a scam.
The OCSD told the public on their Facebook page that they DO NOT employ anyone with that name and are currently investigating these incidents.
They also ask that the public not give any information out over the phone. If you have any questions or concerns you can reach out to the Orange Co. Sheriff’s Office via telephone.
