Around 10 PM on Sunday, Jasper Police initiated a traffic stop at the Mill Street and 7th Street intersections on a 2004 Chevy Colorado pick-up that did not have proper headlights.

JPD made contact with the driver, 36-year-old Jessica Phillips of Jasper, and noticed open containers of alcoholic beverages in the backseat.

Phillips refused field sobriety tests and was then transported to Memorial Hospital for a certified chemical test and D.R.E. evaluation which showed her to be under the influence of marijuana.

Phillips was arrested and transported to the Dubois County Security Center where she is facing the following charges:

  • OWI Endangerment
  • OWI Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Marijuana
