Indiana is launching a PFAS Testing Pilot Program to determine the amount of PFAS, harmful chemicals linked to cancer, in firefighters’ blood. Found in firefighting gear and foams, these “forever chemicals” pose serious health risks.

By volunteering, firefighters can get their blood tested for free. Here’s how to participate:

Submit your name, email, and PSID via the link below.
Look out for a follow-up application from pfas@delineateconsulting.com.
If selected, you’ll receive an at-home testing kit to return within 14 days.
Participants will receive their test results, while the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) will get de-identified data for a legislative report. Personal information will be protected and not shared publicly.

Deadline to apply: August 9, 2024

Your participation is crucial for a safer future. Apply now at on.in.gov/pfas-testing
