This release contains an update on the quadruple fatality traffic accident that occurred on Monday, May 27th, 2024, just before 5:00 A.M. on I-69 near the 56.5-mile marker.

The third adult male passenger traveling in the Chevy Traverse has been identified as 27-year-old Fritz Dalny Cali from Washington. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office have spoken with the victim’s family.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Washington Police Department, Washington City Fire Department, Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department, Cannelburg Volunteer Fire Department, the Daviess County Ambulance Service, the Daviess County Coroner’s Office, the Indiana State Police, Briggeman’s Wrecker Service and Countryside Wrecker Service.
