Teams from across Indiana will test their strength on Saturday, August 10th, at the Indianapolis International Airport Postal Hub during the 23rd annual Plane Pull® Challenge to benefit Special Olympics Indiana. Participants will work together to move a Boeing 757 airplane 12 feet to support children and adults in Indiana with intellectual disabilities.

Registration opens at 7:30 AM with competition taking place from 9 AM to 3 PM. Teams of up to 15 people can take part in The Plane Pull Challenge, and the fastest team in each of five divisions, corporate, public safety, high school, college, and open, receives an award. Participants can earn additional prizes for raising money to support Hoosiers with intellectual disabilities. To be eligible to participate team members are asked to raise a minimum of $1,200 collectively.

The event is family-friendly and features a festival-like atmosphere with music, food, souvenirs, games, and other activities throughout the day; with the highlight being the Kids Pull, where children join forces to pull the Boeing 757 free of charge. Spectators are welcome to attend, and admission is free.

All funds raised through the Plane Pull Challenge go toward programs that directly benefit Special Olympics Indiana’s more than 19,000 athletes. To learn more, visit planepullIN.org.
