The Dubois County women’s leadership organization, Women Empowering Women (WEW), will gather on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 to hear a discussion panel made up of three local women, Kim Messmer, Sandy Cave, and Amanda Hauser, speak on various strategies and approaches for establishing and maintaining effective mentor-mentee relationships. Sandy Cave, a Realtor at RE/MAX Local in Jasper, became a Realtor in 2004 at the age of 50 when her daughter was starting kindergarten and her son was 12. Having two children, and a husband, she loved the flexible hours this job provided, and she loved working with people of all ages and walks of life to sell their homes or purchase a new one. Prior to becoming a Realtor, she worked in banking and then managed the office of her husband’s construction company.

Amanda Hauser is a mother of eight, children’s author, small business owner, professional educator, and parenting blogger. Amanda served as curriculum director for an independent micro-school in Hamilton County. She has a deep-rooted desire to keep magic a part of childhood, which is the foundation of her Impish the Elf children series and Christmas tradition business. Amanda was a featured teacher on the Today Show, had her products recognized on Shark Tank’s Daymond John’s Instagram, and served on John’s educator roundtable. Amanda and her husband, Josh, reside in Westfield, Indiana.
