Warrick County has officially enacted a burn ban, effective immediately, as a precautionary measure against the heightened risk of wildfires. This ban will be enforced for the next seven days to protect the community from potential fire hazards caused by the dry weather conditions. Open burning, including debris, yard waste, and campfires, is strictly prohibited during this period.

Burn bans are crucial in preventing the rapid spread of fires, which can lead to significant property damage, endanger lives, and strain emergency services. After the initial seven days, local authorities will carefully evaluate weather patterns and moisture levels to decide if the ban can be safely lifted or if it should remain in place.

The community will be kept informed of any updates.

Residents are urged to adhere to the ban and appreciate the collective effort to keep Warrick County safe.
