Early Wednesday morning, August 7th, Trooper Noah Ewing was patrolling the French Lick area when he observed a vehicle cross the center line multiple times. A Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) check on the vehicle revealed that its registration was expired. Acting on this information, Trooper Ewing activated his emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop.

Upon approaching the vehicle, Trooper Ewing spoke to the driver, identified as Kyle J. Eickleberger, 47, of Paoli, IN. Eickleberger exhibited visible signs of impairment, prompting Trooper Ewing to transport him to IU Health Hospital in Paoli for a chemical test. Following the test, Eickleberger was arrested and taken to the Orange County jail, where he is currently being held on bond.

    Charge: Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (OVWI) – Class C Misdemeanor
