Vincennes University has announced three events they are holding in Vincennes on Saturday, September 21st, 2024.
The first event of the day will be the Knox County Suicide Prevention Walk, being held from 9 to 11 AM ET, at the VU Outdoor Track, located at 1600 Short Street.
This event is free and open to everyone and supports those who struggle with mental health challenges as well as family members who have lost a loved one. Those participating can choose to walk 0.5, 1, 2, or 3 miles.
The Rain location for the event will be the VU Student Recreation Center, at 1600 Short Street.

The next event will be the 6th annual Monarch Madness, being held from 11 AM to 2 PM ET, at Fox Ridge Nature Park, located at 1364 North Hillcrest Road in Vincennes.
Citizen scientists of all ages will take part in the activity by finding monarch butterflies and tagging them for scientific research. The event is free, open to the public, and will include lots of family-friendly activities.
The final activity of the day will be the VU Parent & Family Weekend, being held from 11 AM to 4 PM ET, at the Lawn outside of the VU P.E. Complex, located at 1401 North Chestnut Street.
VU parents, families, and students can come and enjoy an entertaining day with lunch, live music, bounce houses, cornhole, and outdoor games with prizes.
