Florence Hunter, 95, of Holland, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Serenity Spring/ Northwood in Jasper.

She was born February 7, 1929, in Huntingburg to Harvey and Amanda (Hunefeld) Kahle and was united in marriage to C.E. (Bill) Hunter on November 11, 1948. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2002.

Florence graduated from Holland High School. She worked as an administrative assistant for The Martin Group for 25 years, was the church organist at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Holland, and a member of the Happy Homemakers Club. Pastime activities included knitting, quilting, travel, and her cats.

Survivors include children, LaVonne (Jeff) Tisdal, Linda VanNatta, Vera Hunter, and Verl Hunter.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., E.D.T., Saturday, January 4, 2025, at St Paul United Church of Christ, Holland.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., one hour before the service at the church.

Rainey Funeral Home in Dale has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ in Holland.
