The Daviess-Martin Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA) and the Four Rivers Forestry Committee have announced a new date for the Blue Creek Wildflower Walk. Originally scheduled for this spring, the event has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Blue Creek in southern Martin County.

Participants will have the opportunity to experience the vibrant bloom of native Virginia Bluebells while also learning about forest restoration efforts. The walk will highlight areas affected by a 2023 tornado and explore forest management tools aimed at storm recovery and promoting healthy regeneration.

Blue Creek Lane, the event location, is accessible from Windom Road, approximately 6.7 miles south of US-Hwy 150/550 or 5.3 miles north of the Dubois County Crossroads at US-Hwy 56. The scenic setting runs parallel to the road through a portion of the Hoosier National Forest.
