Participating McDonald’s restaurants in Dubois County and surrounding areas are proud to launch the Happy McReaders Summer Program, partnering with area libraries to inspire young readers with a delicious twist.

Thanks to the support of local McDonald’s Owner/Operators, children can earn a FREE Happy Meal just by reading books. Here’s how it works: families can stop by any participating library to pick up a Happy McReaders punch card. For every book a child finishes and returns, they’ll receive one punch on their card. After reading 10 books, kids can bring their completed card to a participating McDonald’s restaurant to enjoy a free Happy Meal as a reward for their reading achievement.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Happy McReaders program to our community,” said Susan Mann, McDonald’s Owner/Operator. “It’s a meaningful way to support our kids, encourage summer learning, and celebrate their hard work.”

Happy McReaders punch cards are available at participating libraries while supplies last, now through Saturday, August 30, 2025.
