The Pike County Animal Welfare Shelter is urging people to foster animals after the building suffered storm damage at its outdoor kennels. 

 People who can adopt dogs and cats are also needed right away.  

The shelter is at 4224 North Meridian Road in Petersburg.  

No animals were injured in the storm.
