Jacob William Volz, age 56, of St. Anthony, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2026, at his home.

He was born May 23, 1969, in Huntingburg, to John Jacob “Jake” and Emma Maxine (Watts) Volz.  He was a 1987 graduate of Southridge High School.  Jacob enjoyed listening to music, cooking, hiking at Hemlock Cliffs and feeding God’s creatures in nature.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Katherine Hurst; and a brother, John Volz, Jr. 

He is survived by his daughters, Kelsey Volz and Trista (Gaige) Friedel of Dale, Kiera Volz of Huntingburg; siblings, Karen (Tom) Brown, Joan (Nick) Davis, Jean Rhoads, Chester Volz of Huntingburg, Steve Volz of French Lick, James (Martha) Volz of Velpen; five grandchildren, Kade, Aria, Eli, Grayson, and Declan.

Visitation for Jacob Volz will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with a funeral service immediately following.   Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com
