The City of Tell City is reminding families with loved ones buried at Greenwood Cemetery about upcoming seasonal maintenance.

According to the city, mowing season is approaching and anyone with flowers or decorations that are not placed in approved vases or saddles should remove them from monuments or the surrounding ground.

This also includes shepherd hooks and items that are not securely attached to monuments, such as figurines.

The deadline to remove those items is March 31. After that date, cemetery staff will remove and dispose of any remaining items as part of routine maintenance.

Anyone with questions can contact the Greenwood Cemetery office between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at 812-547-6872.
