Sameer C. Mehta, age 39, of Huntingburg, passed away at 7:50 p.m.,Monday, February 8, 2016, in an auto accident on Highway 231 South near the WITZ Road outside of Jasper.

Sameer Mehta Obituary Photo559_edited-1            He was born November 2, 1976, in Bharuch, GJ, India to Chandravadan and Chandrika Mehta.  Sameer was proud to be a United States citizen and worked very hard to achieve this goal.  He attended Florida State University where he graduated with his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He was employed at Jasper Engines and Transmissions in Jasper as a mechanical engineer and also worked at Circle “A”.  Sameer enjoyed building electronics as a hobby and was a member of the Cooking Club at Circle “A” and the Exercising Club at Jasper Engines.

He is survived by:

Teresa A. Mehta of Huntingburg, Ind.;

One daughter,

Vincenzina Bullock of Jasper, Ind.;

Two sons,

Zac Thomason of Huntingburg, Ind.,

Matthew Toomire on military assignment;

His parents,

Chandravadan & Chandrika Mehta of Bharuch, India;

Two brothers,

Manish Mehta of Bharuch, India,

Arvind Mehta of Bharuch, India;

and one grandchild, Clark Bullock.

Funeral services for Sameer C. Mehta will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.S.T., onFriday, February 12, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with cremation to follow in Evansville, Indiana.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday; and also from 12:00 noon-2:00 p.m., on Friday.  Condolences may be shared with the family online at:  www.nassandson.com.
