Ash Wednesday Brings the Start of Lent; Local Churches Set to Host Lenten Fish Dinners

With the start of Lent today, Ash Wednesday Lenten dinners are in full swing around the area.

DIVINE MERCY

  • Divine Mercy G-squared Youth Group will be hosting a fish dinner on Friday, February, 16th at 4:30pm- 7pm at the Parish in St. Anthony.

 

ST. BENEDICTS BREW WORKS & THE SISTERS OF ST. BENEDICT

  • In Ferdinand St. Benedicts Brew Works and the Sisters of St. Benedict will be hosting an All you can eat Lenten fish & fries in Ferdinand at the Sisters Event Hall. Times and dates for dinners at the Sisters Event Hall are as follows:

ASH WEDNESDAY FEB 14, THIS FRIDAY FEB 16, AND THE FOLLOWING FRIDAYS IN MARCH THE 2ND, 16TH, 30TH.

ON FRIDAYS MEALS WILL BE SERVED FROM 3:30-7:30PM CST.

 

ST.BONIFACE CATHOLIC CHURCH

  • The Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda will be hosting a fish dinner this Friday, February 16 from 3:00 to 7:00pm CST at the parish center located south of the church off highway 545. Proceeds will benefit the facilities of St. Boniface Parish center.

 

HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHRUCH/ HOLY TRINITY SCHOOL

  • Holy Family will be holding 2 Lenten fish dinners at their east campus with their first scheduled for this Friday, February 16th beginning at 4:30pm and going until they have sold out.
  • Their next dinner is scheduled for March 2nd at 4:30pm and again serving until they have sold out.
  • Holy Trinity 7th graders will be serving dessert for 1.00 to raise funds for their Washington D.C. trip they will be taking next year. All fish dinner proceeds will benefit the school.

 

FERDINAND KIWANIS FISH FRY

  • The Ferdinand Kiwanis will host a fish fry this Friday, February 16th from 5pm-7pm in the Forest Park High School cafeteria.
