A Dubois woman suffered what authorities considered non-life threatening injuries in a single vehicle crash in Haysville early this morning

At a quarter till 7 this morning the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department says 29-year old Hannah Fischer of Dubois, was Northbound on North Mill Street when deputies say at that time her SUV approached the “T” intersection with Co Rd 400 North.

It was then authorities say Fisher appeared to have fallen asleep and that she did not stop or brake for the stop sign.  They say her vehicle then went through the intersection, struck a guardrail and came to rest.

Fischer was transported to Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries that included a head injury that once again authorities say appeared to be a non-life threatening.

Fischer’s SUV was a total loss.  There was thought to be about $3000 in damage to the guardrail that is owned by the Dubois County Highway Department.

The Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Jasper Police Department, Haysville First Responders, and Memorial EMS.
