Kimball Office announced that Canopy was recognized as Interior Design’s 2015 Best of Year Award winner in the Furniture: Contract/Systems category.
In addition, in the project category for Showroom Design, Studio O+A was awarded the Best of Year Award for the Kimball Office Chicago showroom design.
The Best of Year award honors the very best products and projects in design across a wide range of categories.
Kimball Office was presented the award during Interior Design’s 10th annual awards ceremony on December 3rd at the IAC Building in New York City.
Canopy moves beyond conventional open plan benching to give each user a versatile work tool that changes according to the needs of the moment. While this product will fit into any open plan, Canopy’s height adjustment capability ó a discreet mechanism that allows the user to raise or lower the desk without disturbing colleagues ó is both a social and an ergonomic advance.
Kimball International Chairman and CEO Bob Schneider says the award reflects so well the Kimball Office of today. He says the Kimball Office team has worked tirelessly establishing the brand as a design leader, with so many exciting new products.
Schneider says they are thrilled Canopy has been so highly recognized by Interior Design and the design community.
