L. Charles Rinderknecht, age 67 of Ireland, IN passed away on Thursday (January 7, 2016) in Richardson, Texas.

Rinderknecht, CharlesCharles was born on August 7, 1948 in Taylor Texas to Leonard Rinderkneccht and Lena Grabs Meeks. He married Kathryn Wehr on November 7, 1987.

Charles was a U.S. Navy veteran who served from 1967 to 1971.

He retired as driver/engineer for the Dallas Fire Department where he served for 34 years.

He was a member of the Ireland Sportsman’s Club, the Dallas Retired Firefighters Association, and he enjoyed traveling to Alaska and gold prospecting.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Leonard Rinderknecht and Lena Grabs Meeks, sisters Betty Williamson and Barbara Ponder, and his step-father Andrew Meeks.

Funeral services for L. Charles Rinderknecht will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, (January 13, 2016), in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, IN with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The VFW Post #673 will conduct military graveside rites.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Tuesday, (January 12, 2016), at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, IN.
