The Dubois County Emerging Leaders will kick off another year of giving at 6 o’clock this evening at Cool Beans in Huntingburg.

Individuals who have a passion for philanthropy or want to lean more about this group are invited to attend.

Emerging Leaders, a giving circle established back in 2012 by the Dubois County Community Foundation, seeks to contribute to the health and public good of the community at large through philanthropy and charitable giving.

Each member commits to giving as little as 120-dollars per individual or 180-dollars as a couple per year. Members will share a vote as to where the grant will be directed at the end of the year.

Last year’s 5-thousand dollar grant recipient was
Next Act Incorporated, a non profit working to save, revive and revitalize the Astra Theatre in downtown Jasper.

To date the local giving circle has granted 23-thousand dollars to local charities.
