Janet Sullivan, age 80 of Jasper, formerly of New Albany, IN passed away at 2:37 a.m. on Wednesday (January 27, 2016) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, IN.

Sullivan, JanetJanet was born on September 24, 1935 in Seymour, IN to S. Frank and Dorothy (Pettit) Mattox. She married Thomas M. Sullivan in 1978. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2001.

She worked at Churchill Downs for several years.

She was a member of the Tri Kappa Sorority.

Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, decorating, art, music, and horse racing. She was an avid IU basketball fan and enjoyed her granddogs, Gracie, Coco, and Pippa.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, was a nephew S. Frank Mattox II, step-son Thomas Sullivan Jr., and step-son in-law James Helton.

A Celebration of Life Open House will be held Saturday (February 6, 2016) at 12:00 p.m. at ‘Sam’s at Plantation Montrose ‘ (318 W Lewis & Clark Parkway, Clarksville, IN). A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m.
