A Birdseye woman was taken into custody for driving under the influence of drugs and drug possession as a result of a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon in Jasper.

Just after 4:30 pm Tuesday an officer with the Jasper Police Department pulled over a passenger car driven by 46-year old Linda Mundy of Birdseye along the 700 block of West Second Street for driving left of center.

After determining that Mundy was operating while under the influence, she was taken to nearby Memorial Hospital by police for medical clearance.

She was later transferred to the Dubois County Security Center where she was booked on  Class A Misdemeanor counts of Operating while Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia and a Level 6 Felony count of Possession of Meth.
