Carol G. Tribbie, age 82, of Gentryville, passed away at 7:14 p.m., on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at the Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand where she has resided for the past three years.

Carol Tribbie Obituary Photo598She was born February 14, 1934, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Walter and Geneva (Conner) Horney. Carol was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and being outdoors with her horses and dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, William David Tribbie.

She is survived by:

Three sons and two daughter-in-laws,
William “Bill” (spouse, Bettye Sue) Tribbie of Gentryville, Ind.,
Patrick (spouse, Kim) Tribbie of Dale, Ind.,
Kenneth Tribbie of Gentryville, Ind.,
Two daughters and one son-in-law,
Lois (spouse, Ron) Mason of Huntingburg, Ind.,
Valerie “Jane” Allen of Richland, Ind.,
by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Carol G. Tribbie will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.D.T. (1:00 p.m., C.D.T.), on Monday, March 21, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gentryville. Reverend Robert King will officiate at the funeral service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 5:30-9:00 p.m., E.D.T. (4:30-8:00 p.m., C.D.T.), on Sunday; and also from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., E.D.T. (10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., C.D.T.), on Monday. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Heart to Heart Hospice. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude for the exceptional care and loving compassion extended to Carol and her family by the staff at Scenic Hills Care Center and Heart to Heart Hospice.
