James M. “Mac” Watts, age 68, of Jasper, formerly of Huntingburg, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016, at his home in Jasper.

Mac Watts obit photoHe was born May 2, 1947, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Chester and Neoma (Kirby) Watts. He graduated from Huntingburg High School in 1965. He served in the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps for two tours of enlistment during the Vietnam War. Mac worked at Jasper Seating where he was currently employed. He was a member of the Jasper American Legion and lifetime member of the Huntingburg V.F.W. Post #2366. His favorite pastime was reading. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Emma Volz, Dorothy Irene Watts and Vera Lucille Watts; and two brothers, Paul Watts and Earl Watts.

He is survived by:

Two sisters,
Pauline Jackson of Jasper, Indiana,
Mary Kay Burch of Huntingburg, Indiana.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-6:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Following his visitation at 6:00 p.m., Sunday evening, military funeral rites will be held at the funeral home, conducted by the V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail who will be assisted by the Marine Corps League Detachment #931 and the Indiana National Guard Honor Detail. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com
