John E. Popp, age 79 of Haysville, IN, passed away at Noon on Saturday (March 19, 2016) at his home.

Popp, JohnJohn was born on February 19, 1937 in Jasper, IN to Ludwig and Arnetta (Harder) Popp. He married Grace Edrington. She preceded him in death on January 7th, 2002.

He was a farmer and then retired from Jasper Engines and Transmissions after 20 years of service.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN, and a member of the National Rifle Association.

He enjoyed gardening, working outside, fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle.

Preceding him in death beside his wife was one brother, Junior Popp and one sister, Gladys Popp.

Funeral services for John E. Popp will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (March 23, 2016) at the Becher-Kluesner North Funeral Home in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Haysville, IN. Pastor Charla Grieves will officiate.

Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday (March 22, 2016) at the Becher-Kluesner Northside Chapel in Jasper, IN.
