Conservation officers with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources are looking into a Monday afternoon ATV accident that resulted in a Spencer County teen being life-flighted to an Evansville hospital.

Conservation officers say at around 2 pm CDT yesterday 15-year old Tyler Luecke of Evanston was operating an ATV at his residence in rural Spencer County when officers say for an unknown reason he was ejected from the ATV and suffered a head injury.

Luecke, was taken by a family member to Memorial Hospital in Jasper and later transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.user31750-1458653866-media2_9b9c95_240_180_PrsMe_

Authorities say Luecke was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

They also say Luecke’s injuries do not appear to be life threatening and that the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
