Thomas R. Wilkinson, Sr., age 83, of Dale, passed away at 7:20 a.m., on Friday, March 18, 2016, at the Southwood Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Terre Haute.

Thomas Wilkinson new Obituary Photo600_edited-1He was born March 10, 1933 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Clay McBride Wilkinson and Ruby Anna Mary (Newcomb) Wilkinson. He married Betty J. Bryant on November 10, 1990, at the Pentecostal Church in Gentryville. Tom worked for 49 years as a construction electrician and was a member of the IBEW Local #725 in Terre Haute. He was a member of the Lincolnland Worship Center in Santa Claus and served in the Naval Reserves for six years. Tom loved fishing, listening to gospel music, singing at his church, watching football on Sundays, and reading his bible daily. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Beverly, Mary, Carol, and John.

Two step daughters,
Glenda (Kevin) Hildenbrand of Dale, Ind.,
Sherry (Eddie) Gogel of Dale, Ind.;
One sister,
Suzanne Boswell of Terre Haute, Ind.;
by (8) grandchildren, (13) step grandchildren, (13) great grandchildren and (17) step great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Thomas R. Wilkinson, Sr. will be held at 4:00 p.m., E.D.T., (3:00 p.m., C.D.T.) on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at the Garden of Memories in Gentryville. Pastor Marvin Green will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 12:00 noon-4:00 p.m., E.D.T., (11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., C.D.T.) on Tuesday, the day of the funeral. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com
