Carl Andrew Cato, age 52, of Winslow, passed away at 7:44 p.m., on Friday, April 8, 2016, at his home.

Carl CatoHe was born October 28, 1963, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Yulin Gene and Wilma Mae (Quackenbush) Cato. Carl was a coal miner for Peabody Coal Company and enjoyed horseback riding. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

He is survived by:

Kathryn (maiden name, Wheatley) Cato of Winslow, Ind.;
One daughter,
Tasha Cato (companion, Benny Thomas) of Winslow, Ind.;
One son,
Zachary Ryan Cato of Winslow, Ind.;
Four sisters,
Mrs. Jeanie (Jerry) Fuesler of Huntingburg, Ind.,
Bonita Smith (companion, Bill Hamm) of Oakland City, Ind.,
Angela Cummins (companion, Fred Lucas) of Velpen, Ind.,
Rebecca Cato (companion, Jim Cutler) of Winslow, Ind.;
and two granddaughters,
Nevaeh McGee and Ravynne Cato.

Funeral services for Carl A. Cato will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen. Pastor Denny Wiscaver will officiate at the service.
