A Crawford County woman working at a local construction site was injured after she was hit by a car while directing traffic yesterday afternoon.

Just after 2:15 pm Wednesday afternoon Jasper Police say 25-year old Holly Lange, 25, of Ferdinand, was eastbound on First Avenue in Jasper when she stopped at the intersection with US Hwy 231. Police say that’s where
60-year old Donna Knight of Eckerty, was directing traffic in the intersection due to construction there.

Lange told police she didn’t see Knight when she pulled into the intersection to go south on U.S. 231 and struck her.

A Jasper Police report says Knight complained of right leg and shoulder pain and was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital.
