The Dubois County Medication Collection is planned for this Saturday April 30th, as part of the Drug Enforcement Administration National Pharmaceutical Drug Take Back event.

The Jasper Post of the Indiana State Police will host the collection from 10 am till 2 pm, while the Birdseye Fire Station and the Haysville Fire Station will host from 10 am till noon.

Meanwhile the Huntingburg Police Department has a 24-hour a day collection in a drop box at the department’s headqaurters located along the 500 block of West Main Street.

Expired, unwanted and unused, medications, vitamins, ointments, syrups, drops and aerosols not in pressurized containers will be accepted at the collection sites.

No sharps, infectious materials or waste will be accepted.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department will supervise collections held at the Birdseye and Haysville Fire Stations and the Indiana State Police will supervise the Jasper site.
