Deputies with the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department have confirmed that they are conducting a death investigation where they say an adult male was found deceased Wednesday evening by residents of a property located along the 200 W Block of County Road 600 North about two miles north of Jasper.
Just after 6:15 pm deputies responded to the scene where they say the male who has yet to be identified had been located near a lake on the property and say he was obviously deceased. The investigation is ongoing and is pending an autopsy and toxicology testing.
A release from the sheriff’s department says the death is not believed to be criminal in nature and no foul play is suspected at this time.
Haysville First Responders, Memorial EMS, Indiana Conservation Officers and personnel from the Dubois County Coroners office arrived on scene to assist.
