A Kentucky man was arrested on a pair of charges including OWI when authorities responded to reports of a reckless driver traveling along County Road 1100 South between County Road 200 West and Highway 231 Sunday afternoon .

Just before 3:30 pm yesterday deputies with the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, looked for an SUV after receiving several calls about the vehicle being driven recklessly on Highway 231.

Deputies say while they were searching for the SUV, they received a call about a crashed sport utility vehicle on County Road 1100S between U.S. 231 and County Road 200W.

When deputies arrived on scene they found the SUV on its side with the driver trapped. First Responders and Volunteer Firefighters had to extricate the driver, 49-year old Andrade Mora Prisco of Robards, Kentucky from the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital.

After being treated at Memorial, Prisco was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating while never being licensed. He was booked into the Dubois County Security Center.

The sheriff’s department thanked firefighters, first responders and emergency medical services teams that responded to the scene.
