Florence C. Henke, age 94 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 3:22 p.m. on Monday (May 2, 2016) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

Henke, FlorenceFlorence was born on November 5, 1921 in Jasper, Indiana to August and Veronica (Sherman) Eckert.  She married Edgar F. Henke on April 16, 1940 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.  He preceded her in death on August 16, 1987.

She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, IN, and a member of the Red Hat Society.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, being outside, and taking care of her plants.

Preceding her in death were two sisters; Augusta Kuntz and Alma Schmitt, five brothers; Linus, Matthew, Norbert, Dennis and Urban Eckert, and one grandson; Brian Henke.

Funeral services for Florence Henke will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (May 5, 2016), at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (May 5, 2016) at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or to the wishes of the family.
